Maqui berry is a dark purple berry from the Patagonian region, in Chile and Argentina.

Maqui berry grows as an evergreen tree that reaches about 3 to 4 meters high (9-13 ft.). The fruit is a delicious berry with a dry flavor, shiny, purple-black and about 4-5 mm in diameter, edible, and medicinal with a very strong pigment.

Maqui berry is harvested wild in central and southern Chile.

Maqui berries by nature are extraordinarily rich in flavonoid, molecules otherwise known as anthocyanins, in addition to a high concentration of phenolic compounds. A subcategory of these flavonoids are called delphinidins, which are responsible for the berry’s dark purple pigment.

Super Maqui Plus™ with Delphinol® has been analyzed at the Brunswick Laboratories for an estimation of the total ORAC value.

• Dry eye syndrome, resulting from insufficient tear fluid generation to keep eyes moist, is very common and age related, most especially in mature women, leading to sensitive, stinging, itching eyes and can lead to ocular and tear glands damage. 1-4
• The term “tear film breakup time” is used to describe how rapidly the normal smooth tear layer disperses.4-6 When the tear film breakup time is less than the rate of blinking, it creates intermittent periods of exposure to dryness and potential irritants, leading to the symptoms of dry eye syndrome.
